Guatemalan peasants ratify support to former Bolivian President Evo Morales.

GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala.-  Hundreds of members of Guatemala’s Peasant Development Committee starred in a protest in front of the U.S. Embassy, in support of former Bolivian President Evo Morales.

Shouting ‘Evo is not alone, The peoples of Latin America no longer shut up’ and No to racist coup‘, protesters left the Obeliscus in Zone 10 of Guatemala and walked several blocks along central Reforma Avenue until they reached the American Embassy.

At the head of the large group was Thelma Cabrera, leader of the movement, a former candidate for the presidency in the last elections, who expressed her condemnation of the racist coup d’état against Brother Evo.

Cabrera also criticized the meddling of the United States and the oligarchy in the events of the South American country, and expressed her support for the people who are on the streets to defend their conquests.
