European Council to request a one-year extension for Brexit.

The President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, said he will ask the countries of the European Union to extend the deadline for the United Kingdom’s abandonment of the regional bloc until March 2020.

According to specialists, the leaders of the Community body should approve the extension this month, and it has the objective of allowing London to withdraw from the European Union if it is prepared.

Recently, British Prime Minister Theresa May asked the block to extend its retirement until next June 30 and she considers this extension pursues the unblocking of the settlement of divorce in the British Parliament, in the midst of the process known as Brexit.

The House of Commons rejected three times the pact of abandonment, concluded last November between the European Union and the British government.
