MOSCOW, Russia.-The fifteenth session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic-Commercial and Technical-Scientific collaboration between Cuba and Russia between Cuba and Russia, was held this Thursday in Moscow, chaired by the Vice-Presidents of both Governments, Ricardo Cabrisas and Dimitri Rogozin.

The parties noted the excellent state of bilateral relations and progress in the last three years in the development of economic, commercial and financial linkages; as well as the promotion of the Cuban exports in the Russian market.

They examined the prospects for advancing the future creation of Cuban-Russian joint ventures, on the opportunities offered by the Law for Foreign Investment and the Mariel Special Zone of Development.

The Russian Vice-President expressed his grief to Cuba for the damages of Hurricane Irma, and reiterated a help is prepared to help alleviating them.

For Further Progress

The Vice-President of the Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas, made a recount of the development of the recovery phase after Hurricane Irma, during the tenth session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic-Commercial and Technical-Scientific collaboration between Cuba and Russia.

He also explained the updating of the Cuban economic and social model, and Russia´s participation in the program of economic and social development of Cuba up to 2030.

At the meeting, the Final Act of the fifteenth session and six other documents were signed related to energy, rail transport, and supply of Russian elevators for high buildings in Havana.

During his visit to Russia, Cabrisas met with ministers, holders of companies that develop projects with Cuba, and with the presidents of the National Center of Exports and the International Investment Bank
