Havana, Cuba.- Cuba´s Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) ratified Monday the commitment of Cuban medical collaborators in Venezuela to support the Bolivarian government and people in terms of health.

MINSAP authorities in Twitter, assured that the Cuban doctors continue working in the sister Republic of Venezuela, faithful to the solidarity principles of the Cuban Revolution.

The text also emphasizes that this is our support for the Bolivarian Revolution and President Nicolas Maduro.

Cuban medical collaboration demonstrates the importance of bilateral cooperation, based on a shared awareness of the need to foster unity and social justice in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Two thousand new Cuban doctors joined the Barrio Adentro mission last January to strengthen health care for the Venezuelan people.

This social program, the fruit of cooperation between the two countries, expanded its scope during 2018, when 127,168,000 medical consultations were carried out throughout the South American nation. The Venezuelan health sector is one of the areas most affected after the economic war imposed by Washington and its allied countries.
