Cuban emigration calls on the Pope to intervene in U.S. policy against Cuba.

MIAMI, USA.- Cuban emigration organizations in this American city sent a letter to Pope Francis to ask the US government to cease its policies against the Caribbean island.

It is our fervent desire that given its moral authority recognized by all, Christians or not, you put your good offices before President Donald Trump Administration in order to avoid greater suffering to the Cuban people, the missive reads.

The text adds that during the last Easter, the measures of economic aggression dictated by Washington lacerated the Cuban.

Five days ago, National Security adviser John Bolton announced in Miami, among other steps, that they will limit the sending of remittances to Cuba (a maximum of one thousand dollars every 3 months) and will restrict even more the trips of Americans to the Caribbean country.
