SAINT PETERSBURG, Russia. – The Vice-President of the National Assembly of the People’s Power, Ana Maria Mari Machado, reiterated this Tuesday in St. Petersburg the respect of Cuba to the diversity of political, social, cultural and religious systems.

During the debates of the Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in the former Leningrad, Mari Machado asserted that our aim is to contribute to the establishment of a peaceful and prosperous world.

According to the officer, it is necessary to continue searching for an environment conducive to the exchange of human experiences, as well as the full respect of the right to self-determination of all peoples.

The Cuban leader said any doctrine based on racial or cultural superiority should be rejected, as is any action involving prejudice, discrimination and stereotypes that go against human dignity, equality and justice.
