LA PAZ, Bolivia.- Bolivian President Evo Morales has confirmed the commitment to continue improving the quality of life and access to decent housing for the people.

Morales wrote on his Twitter account that, On World Habitat Day we ratified our commitment and actions to improve the quality of life and access to decent housing for the benefit of our people.

The Bolivian President announced in June the launch of a dialogue process with the mayors of the largest cities in the country to seek solutions to the problem of urban population growth, and to develop a plan for new settlements.

The initiative was hailed by the executive director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, Maimunah Sharif, who welcomed the Bolivian President’s determination to support the urban policy process that promotes that program in several parts of the world
