HAVANA, Cuba. – The Austria-Cuba Friendship Association congratulated Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez on his election as President of Cuba, and assured him that they will continue their work in solidarity with the revolution and the people of the island.

The letter, addressed to the newly elected President and delivered to the Embassy of Cuba in Austria, says: “We are fully sure that with you and the Government team, the Cuban revolution is guaranteed to deepen and consolidate its socialist character.”

The message also highlighted congratulations to Raul Castro Ruz, who for more than ten years successfully led the country’s politics, giving continuity to the work of the Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro Ruz.

The Austria-Cuba Friendship Association expressed the firmness of the joint solidarity work between the two nations with the Socialist Revolution of Cuba and with the Cuban people and Government.
