Director-General of UNESCO will visit Cuba

Audrey Azoulay arrives in Cuba today.

HAVANA, Cuba.- On Wednesday, the Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Audrey Azoulay, will arrive in Cuba on a visit.

During her stay in our country, the distinguished visitor will meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, and will carry out other activities.

Elected as Director-General of UNESCO in 2017, Azoulay has embarked on an extensive Program of Strategic Transformation of the organization, aimed at positioning it at the heart of the challenges of the 21st century, enabling it to respond to the great challenges of our time.

The head of UNESCO is committed to positioning it as a platform for humanist cooperation, as a standards production scenario and an expert agency that helps spread knowledge.
