havana-world-musicHavana, Cuba.-The fourth edition of the festival Havana World Music (HWM) will develop this year with the intention to set the capital in motion to the rhythm of different musical styles, as rock, hip-hop and jazz, the organizers announced.

‘Music will not stop from March 23-26 at the two places chosen for this purpose: Fabrica de Arte Cubano and Havana Metropolitan Park (Almendares Park),’ according to the event’s main organizer, singer Eme Alfonso.

More than 100 artists from around 15 countries will participate in the festival, which was held for the first time in 2014 and is currently attracting the attention of many bands, interested in coming to Cuba, Eme added.

This time, the participants come from Haiti, Colombia, Norway, Algiers, Bulgaria, Romania, besides the local participants, she specified.

The Norwegian hip-hop band Madcon, the Colobian group Systema Solar and the Cuban popular music group Havana D Primera are the first on the list to play, according to organizers.

There will be activities also for children, with the purpose that entire families can enjoy the HWM festival.

Besides concerts, the event includes exhibitions, performances, workshops and lectures, with the objective of exchanging about the current musical trends in the world.
