Diaz-Canel recalled U.S. atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, recalled the atomic bombings of the United States on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki 74 years ago. Humanity must not forget this horrendous fact of history made by imperial arrogance, its criminal arms and nuclear race, and for its contempt for peoples. No to genocide and imperialist barbarism, Diaz-Canel wrote on his official account on Twitter, in the context of the memory of the victims of the American raid on Hiroshima. Since 1945, these facts are a clear reminder of the destructive power of nuclear weapons, and of the need to eliminate these arsenals to avoid repetition.
