HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, and the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations, UN, Maria Fernanda Espinosa, coincided in the vision of appealing to multilateralism to solve the challenges of humanity.

Both leaders agreed on the willingness to continue defending the role of the United Nations in the preservation of international peace and security, as well as in the search for collective solutions to global problems.

Diaz-Canel and Espinosa also exchanged on other topics of the international agenda, and it was known that before the end of her visit to the island, Espinosa will take a tour of the Historic Center of Havana.

At the meeting, the first Latin American President of the General Assembly of UN and the fourth woman to take office recognized Cuba as an essential and strategic ally to strengthen the multilateral system.
