HAVANA, Cuba.-Esteban Lazo Hernandez, a member of the Political bureau and President of the Cuban Parliament, received in Havana the Chancellor and Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Binh Minh.

In an emotional meeting at the headquarters of the National Assembly of People´s Power, Lazo reiterated to the Vietnamese leader the unshakable links of cooperation, solidarity and brotherhood marking the historical relations between the two peoples, Governments and parties.

Lazo thanked the Chancellor and Deputy Prime Minister of Viet Nam, Pham Binh Minh, for the support of the Asian nation in the United Nations by condemning the criminal and unfair economic, financial and commercial blockade against Cuba.

In his words, the Vietnamese leader said that despite the difficulties, Cuba will succeed in the economic, political and social spheres and the defense of the country.
