HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of the Republic, Miguel Diaz-Canel, congratulated this Monday professors and students of the Technological University of Havana Jose Antonio Echeverria (CUJAE) in the 55th anniversary of its opening by Fidel.

In his Twitter account, the Cuban President wrote, Congratulations to the teaching staff, students and all CUJAE graduates in his beautiful 55 years of contributions to the Technical Sciences. With you we count on to make every day a better country.

Founded by Fidel 55 years ago, CUJAE has trained more than 170,000 engineers in various specialties with high technological knowledge and solid integral training, while being the scene of important research that provides contributions and solutions to several branches of the national economy.

Located west of Havana, CUJAE reaches today its 55 years of existence as a paradigm of Higher Education in Cuba.
