Cuban tourism continues to advance despite U.S. blockade.

HAVANA, Cuba.- Barbara Cruz, a civil servant of the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba, stated that this sector is moving forward and is preparing for a high season with quality, despite the blockade of the United States, intensified in recent months.

The director general of Marketing of that Ministry leads the delegation of Cuba to the International Tourism Trade Fair of Latin America, FIT 2019, attended by thousands of exhibitors from more than 50 nations until next Tuesday.

Cruz pointed out that despite the intensified economic siege, Cuban tourism is advancing and measures have been taken for the high season, already at the gates.

The official highlighted the opening of new hotels, such as the one located in Prado and Malecon, in the heart of Havana, and said there are new products about the 500th anniversary of the founding of the capital of all Cubans.
