Havana, Cuba. - Once again Cuba brings out into the open the plans of the Central Agency of Intelligence of the United States to try to overthrow the Cuban Revolution, for which they do spare no efforts or resources.

The new chapter of “The Reasons of Cuba” series, revealed the identity of an agent of the State Security who denounced how the CIA carried out a plan to make artificial “leaders” of the Cuban civil society, looking for a support for its subversive plans. (SEE related videos).

The documentary “Making a leader” includes the testimony of Raúl Capote, a writer and professor of History of Cuba in the Pedagogical Sciences University of Havana, who was agent Daniel of the Cuban intelligence services for years.

After a study on his personality and surroundings of movement, officials of the US Interests Section in Havana contacted Capote in social meetings and they turned him into agent Pablo for the CIA.

The former head correspondent of Reuters in Cuba, Anthony Boadle, was the connection between the writer and the CIA official Mark Sullivan. Another one of his connections with SINA turned out to be a promoted  “dissident”: Dagoberto Valdés.

During the documentary it is demonstrated with irrefutable proofs the participation of the CIA in an espionage operation against Cuba. Among the requests made by Capote were the creation of a Literary Agency, in order to agglutinate and to manipulate intellectuals and writers.

Another one of the projects handled by the CIA was the creation of a foundation, denominated Genesis, with pretensions to influence in the intellectuality of the Island before a possible political change in Cuba.


Convinced about the utility of Capote´s services, the CIA gave him modern satellite communication devices and other equipment with the purpose of broadcasting and receiving classified information, in an open and shameless intelligence operation, that had in the US Interests Section in Havana one of its operative centers.

As in previous occasions, the enemies of Cuba collide with the courage and sacrifice  of a worthy Cuban, who from the ranks of the enemy warned and denounces today the macabre plans of the CIA and its screen organizations.
