| Hits: 433Havana, Cuba.- The efforts of the Cuban Scientific Community are directed to obtain results to favor more and more the economic and social development of the country, on a viable base. Under that premise Cuba arrives at this January 15, Day of Cuban Science.
In spite of the unfair and criminal and blockade from the United States, the Island has a human potential highly qualified, with women and men who, in different specialties and branches of science, make true tangible achievements to the service of people and Humanity.
The results materialize in products and services of high added value that benefits the country. It particularly the Cuban biotechnological activity, with the new formulation of the pentavalente vaccine, the Heberprot-P medicine, the therapeutic vaccine against advanced cancer of lung, and other contributions.
Other significatives actions
With superior impacts in the scientific work of the Island, in economy and society, it is celebrated this January 15, the Day of Cuban Science.
It excells tasks of the hydro. Meteorological front and the related ones to the environment, as well as researches in Social and Humanistic Sciences.
Science, Technology Innovation accompany our country´s efforts in high-priority lines related to health, and other significant fields.
All the Scientific Community of Cuba celebrates this January 15, Day of Cuban Science, mainly outstanding territories as Ciego de Avila, Villa Clara and Havana; but very especially Camagüey, that deserved to be the venue of the central celebrations because its excellent and maintained results.
