Havana, Cuba.- " The Commander-in-Chief has been next to the people, as a creator of a health system for Cuba and the world" , it is expressed in the recognition to Fidel made by several generations of doctors, nurses and technicians in occasion of December 3, Day of the Latin American Medicine.
The declaration was made in a ceremony in Havana, in the Central Unit of Medical Collaboration, where a representation of workers of the sector received a medal as internationalists.
Robert Morales Ojeda, minister of Public Health, and María Isabel Martínez, Secretary General of the National Union of Health Workers , gave the award in the ceremony where it was paid tribute to scientist Carlos Juan Finlay in the anniversary of his birth.
A special recognition was made to the internationalists working in 78 countries, to those substituting them until their return and the active pensioners.
