United Nations recognize Cuba’s social conquests

| Hits: 346Havana, Cuba.- The United Nations Resident Coordinator in Cuba, Bárbara Pesce, recognized this Thursday the achievements of the Island in the Millennium Development Goals established by that organization. In the headquarters of the United Nations Development Programme in the Cuban capital, Pesce assured she trusts the good march of work of Cuba for the fulfillment of such goals, that the Isla has been fulfilling before the 2000 when that plan was created.
The access to education, health, reduction of infantile mortality and other objectives were fulfilled, and I hope it continue that way, the Resident Coordinator of the System of United Nations in our country expressed.
She added that the Government in the Island is still working to prepare f the report corresponding to this stage, that will be analyzed in the next Millenium Summit, to be held this month in United Nations headquarters at New York.
