Havana, Cuba.-Politburo member and First Vice-president of the councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel, received Helen Clark, Administrator of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), who is on a working visit to Cuba.
The Granma newspaper reports that during the cordial meeting, held on Tuesday morning, the UN official expressed her satisfaction for being able to accompany Cuba in the process of updating of its economic model and ratified the willingness of the UNDP to continue offering all cooperation possible.
Havana, Cuba.-The ministers of trade of Cuba and the United States, Rodrigo Malmierca and Penny Pritzker, expressed on Wednesday their interest in moving towards identifying ways that make it possible to boost bilateral exchanges, limited by the persistence of the economic, commercial and financial blockade against the island.
On an official visit to Cuba, the U.S. Commerce Secretary presided over, along with the Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, a meeting between representatives of their governments and the business sector, to explore the scope and limitations of the measures adopted by President Barack Obama during 2015.
Havana, Cuba.-Hector Marcos Timerman, Minister of Foreign Affairs (FM) and Cult of the Republic of Argentina, will arrive in Cuba on Wednesday on an official visit, as reported by the island's Foreign Ministry on its Web site.
During his stay, the distinguished visitor will hold official talks with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and will carry out other activities.
