Havana, Cuba. - Antonio Guerrero, one of the anti-terrorist Cuban prisoners in the United States, sent five hugs and congratulations to the Pablo de la Torriente Brau Center, in Havana, on the occasion of the anniversary 15 of the A Guitarra Limpia project. In his letter to the cultural institution, the Hero of the Republic of Cuba praised the work of that Trova space, which described as a home of verb and song, as well as a nest of imagination and beauty.
Guerrero pointed out that although troubadours always return to their daily life after acting in that place, their mark remains inevitably "in that courtyard, in those rooms and offices in which truth, dignity, the people and the Revolution are defended, on due dates and in better times".
Antonio Guerrero´s, also signed by his comrades Gerardo Hernández, Fernando González, Ramón Labañino, and René González, recognizes the work displayed by the Pablo de la Torriente Brau Center on behalf of the cause of the Five, as they are known internationally.
The Cuban anti-terrorists were arrested in 1998 for following up on criminal organizations that organized violent acts against Cuba. A Guitarra Limpia, one of the projects of the Pablo de la Torriente Brau Center, was born on November 30, 1998, and there has performed all the generations of Cuban troubadours, as well as prominent artists from Latin America and Europe.
