Cuba will occupy a high position in human development index

| Hits: 269Havana, Cuba.- Khalid Malik, representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Latin America, announced Cuba will be placed to a higher level in the Human Development Index, calculated by that program.
This year´s report is will be published in November, when the results causing the advance of the Island will be announced , At the moment the country occupies place 53 in a list made up of more than 170 nations.
PNUD official It emphasized a in press conference in Havana that with the support in public informations from several agencies of the United Nations, it was possible to evaluate levels of health, education and other valuing factors of human development.
At the beginning of 2012 a forum of global human development will be held, with the attendance of excellent intellectuals and world leaders, including Cuban professionals.
