Caracas, Venezuela.-The protection of the cultural material and unmaterial patrimony is one of the topics to be discussed at the 2nd Meeting of the Culture Ministers of the member countries of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac), in session since Thursday here.
The exchange on the experiences by each country in a topic like this, constituted one of the agreements in the recent summit of the organization, held in Cuba, in January 2014. Gathered at the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry host building in Caracas, the meeting discusses other aspects, such as promoting policies of peaceful culture and socio-economic projects.
Havana, Cuba.-The state of war affecting Iraq will worsen, warned today here Ernesto Gómez Abascal, who was Ambassador of Cuba in this Arab nation until the U.S. invasion in 2003.
Gomez Abascal, one of the few diplomats who remained in Iraq during the U.S. bombing, is an expert on issues related to the Middle East, a region where he worked for nearly three decades.

Head of the Marketing Department of the Cuban Book Institute, poet Karen Leyva, confirmed the success in sales of the volume presented here in April by his author, French-Spanish essayist Ignacio Ramonet.
