Havana, Cuba.- President Raúl Castro Ruz, head of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, received this Saturday the former Panamanian President Martín Torrijos, who is visiting the Island. The National Newscast reports the meeting took place this Saturday afternoon and both dignitaries talked about issues of mutual interest from the international agenda. Cuban chancellor Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla was also present.
The former Panamanian President presides over the Latin American and Caribbean Chapter of the Socialist International and was governing his country in the years 2004-2009. During that period he visited Cuba several times.
