San Salvador - The president of the Cuban parliament, Ricardo Alarcón, asserted in the capital of El Salvador that the United States´s policy towards Cuba keeps invariable, despite the softer language of the White House. In a speech before the Plenary Meeting of the Permanent Conference of the Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean, Alarcón also affirmed that the region lives a time of changes and was thankful for solidarity with the Island and the rejection to the siege imposed by Washington.
The president of the Cuban parliament expressed that, beyond the sweetest, sometimes flattering language, and the much more civilized modals coming from the White House, the stance taken on the Island has not changed
Alarcón emphasized a blockade that brings about sufferings, diseases and death, cannot be solved with good words, but with actions that depend on the President and the Congress of the United States.
