More than 200 million eight hundred thousand dollars in programs against Cuba
Havana, Cuba.- The Department of State has spent more than 200 million eight hundred thousand dollars in programs against Cuba since 1997, according to Just the Facts, a civil organization that registers the expenses of the Government of the United States.
The investigation was made after some questionings on the effectiveness of the programs for Cuba, most of which are managed by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
USAID responded to a request sending hardly ten pages of the report, that omits most of the findings, recommendations and other key informations, including the identity of the beneficiaries of the aid.
The developed resource is addressed to legislators, journalists, union leaders and actors of the civil society who worry about the American military assistance to Latin America.
