Santiago de Cuba, Cuba.- The National Seismological Service’s network of stations registered the sixth perceptible earthquake of the current year, with a magnitude of 3.3 on the Richter scale and 50 kilometers southeast of this city.

The tremor occurred at 07:49:53 local time, 36 kilometers deep and at coordinates 19.66 north latitude and 75.55 west longitude, with reports of perceptibility from Baconao, on the south-east coast, and from several points of the city.

As usual, experts from the National Center for Seismological Research (CENAIS), based here, closely follow the seismological behavior in the country and its geographical environment as low occurrence of earthquakes since 2017 is still not good news.
