Havana, Cuba.- Cuba’s Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra received on Tuesday Dominican Republic’s new ambassador in Cuba, Bolivar Israel Marte.

According to Cuban Foreign Ministry’s website, in the encounter, the diplomat presented his credentials as an appointed representative of the Dominican Republic here.

In May,2019, both countries held a Meeting of Political Consultations to, among other issues, ratify the interest and willingness to continue deepening bilateral diplomatic and political ties.

The meeting also allowed to broaden the economic-commercial, financial and cooperation relations.

Dominican Foreign Minister Miguel Vargas and the ambassador of Cuba in the neighboring nation, Milagros Carina Soto Agüero, signed a framework deal for technical, scientific, educational and cultural cooperation, to create and execute programs, projects and actions in priority areas.
