Havana, Cuba.- Spokespersons for the Spanish company GSAR Marketing announced Wednesday their satisfaction with the steps taken for the organization next October in this capital of the 23rd edition of the MITM Americas.

A message distributed to the press here adds that there are just over two months left until the most influential fair in the Americas and the Caribbean in the sector of meeting and incentive travel begins.

The 23rd edition of MITM Americas, to be held from October 14 to 17, offers an opportunity to enjoy the celebrations to mark Havana’s 500 years (November 16), according to the statement.

The event is hosted by the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba, Gran Caribe Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Nacional de Cuba (venue of the event), Cubatur and Iberia airline, in addition to Meliá Hotels, Iberostar Hotels and Muthu Hotels (sponsors of the post-tours).

The organizers add that the Caribbean Tours company will offer attendees a tour of the Havana Malecon in classic cars from the 1940s and 50s.

As part of the plans for the meeting, delegates will discover the four colonial squares of Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The event will culminate in the gardens of the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, flagship of the island’s hotel industry and reference institution in meeting tourism in the Americas during the last century, organizers stressed.

The participants of this edition will also have the opportunity to receive training courses for sector professionals taught by qualified professors from prestigious entities.

These experts will arrive from the University of Nebrija, MICE Training, the Confederation of Congress Organizers of Latin America and Noun Events and Executive Training.

This MITM training day (congress and meeting events) is specially designed to improve the competitiveness of companies in the sector.
