Havana, Cuba.- The Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment (Mincex), Rodrigo Malmierca, arrived in Algeria on Monday to participate as of today and until next Thursday in the 22nd Intergovernment Commission between both countries.

According to Mincex’ Twitter account, the Cuban delegation formed by representatives of enterprises that, according to what was previously informed, will look to strengthen bilateral economic relations in sectors such as health, biotechnology, energy, water resources and agriculture.

Previously, Malmierca made a work visit to Qatar where he met, among other officials, with the Minister of Trade and Industry of that nation, Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari.

According to ministerial sources, during the visit participants exchanged criteria on the interest of both parts in boosting mutual economic relations.

Also, Malmierca held a meeting with Prime Minister Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani of Qatar, in which the will of both nations to strengthen relations was expressed.
