bloqueo cubaHavana, Cuba.-Cuba has thanked the organization Centro Sur for its constant support in the fight against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against this Caribbean nation.

During the 18th meeting of the Centro Sur Council of Representatives, which brings together developing countries, the head of the office of Multilateral Economic-Commercial Affairs Mrs. Alina Revilla Alcázar underlined the contribution of the institution to the fight against the ongoing US hostile policy.

‘The overwhelming response the organization presents for the elaboration of the Secretary-General’s report on the subject is highly appreciated by our government,’ she said.

The diplomat also highlighted the agency’s work to support Cuba and other nations in the South in many areas such as trade, health, the Group of 77 plus China and the Non-Aligned Movement.

‘We hope that through its research and analysis, Centro Sur will continue contributing to map out actions to be considered by governments, institutions and organizations in the South and we hope that their work will continue facilitating and contributing to the design of our policies for National development’, said Revilla.
