Gaborone, Bostwana.- The life and work of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, and his values regarding internationalism, solidarity, humanism, cooperation and friendship were highlighted this Tuesday in this capital.

Cuban ambassador to Bostwana, Patricia Pego Guerra made the comments during her participation in the radio program, Champions Breakfast, in the Gabz of Gasborone station.

The diplomat referred to the permanent commitment of Fidel Castro in favor of peace, unity and respect to the people’s self-determination, as well as his anti imperialist thinking.

The ambassador address match up with the second anniversary of the death of the Cuban leader (November 24) who said that he is remembered with optimism and the commitment to continue his work.

Pego Guerra also talked about the excellent relations between Cuba and Bostwana for more than 40 years, which has been reflected in the cooperation in health, education, sports and construction.

She also referred to the 26 consecutive years of victory of his country at the UN General Assembly during an overwhelming vote (only 2 votes against, USA and Israel) of the Resolution Need to end the Economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.

In this regard the head of the Cuban diplomatic mission to this country noted that this statement at UN reaffirms the international community rejection to Washington’s punitive measures against Havana, established for nearly 60 years ago.

The ambassador labeled Fidel Castro a Champion, making a parody of the name of the radio program.
