La Paz, Cuba.- Bolivian President Evo Morales today greeted former Cuban President Raul Castro and the people of the Caribbean island for their solidarity with the world´s peoples.

Through his Twitter account, Morales greeted ‘Brother Raul Castro, who in 2006 assumed Cuba’s presidency. Raul, like his brother, #FidelEterno, taught us that the sovereignty and dignity of our peoples are not sold.’

The South American country’s leader remarked in his tweet the gratitude to Raul Castro and the Cuban people for their solidarity with other countries of the world.

Morales traveled to Havana in mid-July to participate in the Sao Paulo Forum, where Latin American left-wing movements supported his candidacy for the 2019 presidential elections.

The left-wing main event in the region was dedicated to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, and to the struggle for Latin American unity and integration.
