Raul paid tribute to martyrs of the Fatherland

Raul paid tribute in front of Frank Pais´s grave.

SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba.- The First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Army General Raul Castro Ruz, paid tribute on Tuesday to the martyrs of the Cuban Revolution in Santa Ifigenia Cemetery in Santiago de Cuba.

Accompanied by Beatriz Johnson Urrutia, Vice-President of the Council of State and President of the Provincial Assembly, as well as other authorities in the territory, Raul placed flowers before the funeral crypt of the Apostle of the independence of Cuba.

The Army General also remembered, with a white rose, Commander-in-Chief Fidel, a tribute that extended to Carlos Manuel de Cespedes and Mariana Grajales, Father and Mother of the Fatherland.

Before the pantheon of the Pais Garcias, on the 62nd anniversary of the assassination of young Frank and Raul Pujol, Raul Castro and the people of Santiago starred in an emotional moment in remembrance of the heroes.
