Hanoi, Vietnam.- Vietnam and Cuba reaffirmed on Tuesday their bonds of friendship when the President of the National Assembly, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, welcomed Carlos Rafael Miranda, national coordinator of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR, Cuban non-governmental organization)

The Vietnamese parliamentary leader highlighted the Cuban economic and social advances despite the US blockade and expressed confidence that the recent Cuban Constitution and the updating of the Cuban economic model will bring new success to the Caribbean nation.

Kim Ngan expressed the high appreciation of the Vietnamese Communist Party, State, Parliament and people to Cuba, and said that in these times, as in the past, common friendship is an invaluable treasure that both sides must enrich.

Vietnam was, is and will always be a faithful companion, friend and brother of Cuba, she said.

Carlos Rafael Miranda told Kim Ngan about his conversations on Monday with Tran Thanh Man, president of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFFCC), which as in the case of the CDR in Cuba, it is the largest mass organization in Vietnam.
