Vice-President of Ghana arrives in Cuba today

HAVANA, Cuba. – The website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicates that the Vice-President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, will arrive in Cuba this Wednesday on an official visit.

During his stay, the distinguished visitor will hold official talks with the Vice-President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Ines Maria Chapman Waugh, and will do other activities.

The visit takes place in the year of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Bilateral ties between Cuba and Ghana include education, agriculture, health and sport; medical collaboration began in 1983 and the Comprehensive Health Program initiated by 2000.
