HAVANA, Cuba.- In the analysis of the draft Constitution of the Republic of Cuba, held on Monday at the headquarters of the Workers’ Central Union of Cuba (CTC in Spanish), it was proposed to include in the economic fundamentals the participation of workers in the shaping, implementation and control of the Economy Plan.

Several interventions in the assembly referred to the concept of cooperative and remarked that work is a right and a paramount value in society.

Another issue analyzed by members and leaders of the Workers’ Central Union of Cuba referred to the years that a President should remain in office and the age to occupy it.

Several suggestions to the new Magna Carta addressed the obligation of a State or government official to enforce legality in time and form.
