President of Cuba evokes thought of Fidel Castro.

HAVANA, Cuba.- President Miguel Diaz-Canel evoked this Monday the thought of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, a few days after the triumph of 1959, during the Operation Truth, which confirmed the firmness of the process.

The operation was a meeting with foreign journalists when the Revolution had not yet reached 20 days, so that they knew firsthand details of the trials against the war criminals of the defeated tyranny of Fulgencio Batista.

In order to remember that fact and also to address issues related to the challenges of Latin American journalism, an international forum takes place in Havana since this Monday.

In the meeting, professionals from the region and from other parts of the world will seek answers to the challenge posed by the need to conduct a journalism committed to the truth and the common good of peoples.
