HAVANA, Cuba. – The most important biennial meeting of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) Organization With relevant analysis topics for the future of the region, began in Cuba with some activities associated with its thirty-seven session.

The first day will focus on issues proposed by the host State, and this time the South-South cooperation, foreign investments on the island, and the contribution of the Cuban civil society to the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda on sustainable development are addressed.

At the Convention Palace of Havana there will also be a panel on ECLAC’s contribution to economic and social thinking in the region.

Most of the States linked to the body will be present at the meeting, which shall celebrate the 70th anniversary of that United Nations entity.
