Havana, Cuba.- The figure of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, will be eternal and we will always follow his example, stated this Tuesday Cuban First Vice President, Salvador Valdes.

‘Fidel left his mark on the 20th and 21st centuries. He put Cuba on the world map, no matter who likes or doesn’t like it. He endowed our country with an extraordinary global protagonism. His figure will be eternal and we will always follow his example,’ Valdes wrote on Twitter.

On referring to the eminent thinker, Ines Maria Chapman, a vice president of the Council of State, described Fidel on the same social network as ‘noble cedar that grows in the dawn, a tree that leaves fruits and makes the earth vibrate. 93 always alive, always relevant.’

‘Fidel lives among us, we celebrate his 93rd birthday, giving continuity to the great work of the Cuban Revolution. The best tribute, the daily fulfillment of our duty in every task, every man and woman contributing to society,’ Chapman added.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez stressed the validity of Fidel’s legacy by assuring that the Cuban leader is present throughout Cuba.

‘Fidel lives. He is in all of Cuba: in the dignity and heroism of the people; in our defense of peace, justice, solidarity; in the ethics of our conduct and in our resistance to imperialist aggressions,’ he stressed on his Twitter account @BrunoRguezP.
