HAVANA, Cuba. – Cuba is the best model and example to show what it has done in universal coverage or what is the same, health for all, the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said at a press conference in the Convention Palace of Havana.

The expert, who attends the third Cuba Health 2018 International Convention, highlighted that Cuba is the perfect place to learn how universal health coverage can be realized, even with few resources and low incomes.

The Director General of the World Health Organization acknowledged that although Cuba is not a rich country, it maintains its good health system and assured that this is what attracts people from other countries to come and see how it works.

Cuba is always willing to cooperate with other nations, and it not only has a good health system but also continues working to improve it, the head of WHO remarked.
