Cuba Calls Continental Meetings against Blockade

HAVANA, Cuba.- The Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) called continental solidarity meetings against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on the island.

The Vice-President of the institution, Naomi Rabasa, remarked the importance of the events carried out this year on the subject, and said that from November 23 to 25 a similar meeting in Slovenia.

These encounters constitute a whole movement of solidarity towards Cuba and the world, with an accent on the fight against the blockade, and the return of the territory occupied illegally in Guantanamo by the United States, the official emphasized.

In this regard, Rabasa said that three continental meetings will take place next year, one in Nepal, Asia; in Nigeria, Africa; and Nicaragua, Central America.
