Venezuelan Vice-President denounced judicial harassment against Correa.

CARACAS, Venezuela. – The Executive Vice-President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez and President Nicolas Maduro rejected political hostility and criminalization promoted by imperialist factors against the leaders of the progressive movements of Latin America.

Delcy Rodriguez showed solidarity to former Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa, who could be detained following the request for pre-trial detention issued by the National Court of Justice of Ecuador.

On behalf of the Venezuelan Government and people, the President of Venezuela expressed support and solidarity to Correa, for the judicial actions against him.

The National Court of Justice of Ecuador ordered the preventive prison for the former President for his alleged connection in the attempted kidnapping of former legislator Fernando Balda in Colombia.
