Former Uruguayan Vice-President Raul Sendic.

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay.- Former Uruguayan Vice-President Raul Sendic highlighted in this city the importance of the twenty-fourth meeting of the Sao Paulo Forum in Havana, scheduled for next July 15 to 17.

Sendic, who will attend as a delegate, considered the meeting will consider deepening the program of the left and the transformations on the continent, securing the alliance of changes with the social base and strengthening unity to ensure its effectiveness.

The leader remarked the relevance of these issues when the defense of the program of deep transformations weakened, as well as the preparation to support Governments and society to shield it from a possible political change.

Sendic considered it substantial to discuss in the Sao Paulo Forum the restoration of a strategic alliance with the whole social basis of the changes, which has been broken in some places.
