New homes in Venezuela.

CARACAS, Venezuela.- Two million families were benefited by the Great Housing Mission of Venezuela, one of the pillars of the social protection system conceived by Commander Hugo Chavez and driven by his successor, President Nicolas Maduro.

The Bolivarian government built two million houses in seven years, Maduro said on Tuesday in an event where he detailed the plan of expansion of this project, created in April 2011. Another half million will be given this year.

The next goal of the Venezuelan government is the construction of another five million homes, to provide the population with the greatest housing problems.

The Great Housing Mission of Venezuela was part of the social ideals of the Commander of the Bolivarian Revolution Hugo Chavez, and is shaping up as the most successful housing policy in the history of the country and in the world.
