Drug seized in Panama does not come from Cuba.

PANAMA CITY, Panama. – The Ministry of Security of Panama recognized that the drugs seized in its territory are not attributable to Cuba, which also dismantles another media onslaught against the island.

In an official statement, that body admits that the fact is not attributable to any State and accepts that the container with the seized drug was presumably contaminated in Panamanian territory.

The document adds that the Panamanian authorities initiated an investigation to identify those responsible for the contamination of the container, and added this fact represents one of the main modalities used by drug trafficking networks.

The Customs General of the Republic reiterated the eve that Cuba applies zero tolerance to drugs and denounced the attempt to blame the island for finding the stash in a container with charcoal sacks exported from Cuba to Turkey.
