Nicolas Maduro ratified as President of Venezuela.

CARACAS, Venezuela.- The National Constituent Assembly of Venezuela ratified Nicolas Maduro as President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces for the period 2019-2025.

After taking office on January 10 before the Supreme Court of Justice, the President went on Monday to the plenipotentiary organ to present the Report and Account of last year, as well as the government program for the new presidential term.

The Venezuelan head of State said the so-called Plan of the Fatherland, which will govern the work of the Executive over the next 6 years, shall be delivered to the Assembly for discussion, refinement and transformation in law.

In addition to presenting the Report and Account of 2018, Maduro will carry out social, economic and political announcements, such as the impulse of a productive employment plan.
