CARACAS, Venezuela.- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called this Tuesday to work for the popular and civic-military union to maintain order, peace and stability in the country.

The Bolivarian President insisted through Twitter that in the face of any attempt at disturbance, coup d’état or violence driven by the right, the people must be alert and ready to give a unitary answer.

The exhortation responded to recent statements against the Venezuelan Government and people by the Colombian Chancellery, protected by the United States to create an internal chaos that justifies military intervention in the South American nation.

Maduro also referred to the assassination’s attempt of last August 4, and described it as a top action of the interventional process, and to the riots paid by the right in recent years to threaten national peace and security.
