Fidel-MartiLa Paz, Bolivia.-The pro-independence thinking of José Martí and Fidel Castro, as well as their love for Cuba, are lighting up today the San Francisco Museum Cultural Center of this Bolivian city through a unique art exhibition.

Dissimilar photographs and pictorial works bring spectators much closer to an alluring world filled with courage and revolutionary mettle, starring by two titans of the Latin American emancipation.

Until February 25th, Bolivians and visitors will have the possibility to delve into the universe of these two men by a meeting regarding both thinkers´ vision, member of Fidel´s 90 years Committee Jorge Barrón stated.

The exhibition entitled ‘Fidel, Fidelísimo Retoño Martiano’ includes the photographer and documentary maker Roberto Chile´s 29 exclusive snapshots related to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution.

Meanwhile, the series dedicated to José Martí takes in different stages of life of one of the most important Latin American figures, Barron said.

A score of paintings by Cuban artists as Armando Menocal, Alicia Leal, Pedro Pablo Oliva, Ernesto García Peña, Servando Cabrera Moreno, Mariano Rodríguez and René Portocarrero, among others, suggest to go into the greatness of José Martí´s thinking. Barrón considers this exhibition as a first-level sample, which pays honor to two essential Latin American figures.
