Havana, Cuba.- Cuba has full diplomatic relations with the European Union (EU) and its 28 member states, which have advanced based on mutual respect, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez wrote on Tuesday in Twitter.

Both sides open up spaces for talks and favor coincidences over differences, Rodriguez added in his account @BrunoRguezP.

In another tweet, Rodriguez explained Cuba is advancing in the implementation of the UN Agenda 2030, an action plan aimed at ensuring sustainable social and economic progress worldwide and strengthening universal peace within a broader concept of freedom.

The first Cuba-European Union meeting on sustainable development is taking place this Tuesday, based on the political discussion and cooperation agreement reached by the sides in 2016, which entered into force provisionally in 2017.
